I had a major faux pas yesterday. I have been planning on flying out on a red-eye to Michigan on Thursday night for months now for my Easter bridal shower. My sister called yesterday as I was leaving work confirming my flight for Wednesday night. Turns out since the flight was at 12:10 am, it says I’m flying out on Thursday 3/20, but actually it was Wednesday night.
Prompting a panic attack, I had to decide last night if I was going to fly out Wednesday, or rebook my flight for Thursday. I hadn’t packed yet, didn’t have any vacation time left to take Thursday off, and Mike just got diagnosed with an infection in his hernia wound and I hadn’t yet gotten him set up with food for the days that I was going to be gone (he doesn’t have the strength yet to go to the store). I decided to bite the bullet and pay to rebook my flight. It ended up costing me an extra $240 to fix my silly mistake. Now I’m flying out on Friday at 12:10am (which is really Thursday night). Yeesh!
